Metro Fibre

Metro Fibre uses partner fibre assets to reach most premises in any Australian metro. We hand the service off at our closest datacentre presence in that city.

Why Metro Fibre

Coverage, protection, and room to grow

Building back to our existing datacentre presences makes protected DC-to-DC paths a straightforward design. We write a service level agreement for the build. Dark fibre can then carry internet and datacentre connectivity as the site grows. Layer 2 capacity already runs at 1G, 10G, 40G and 100G across our redundant backbone between any of our PoPs in the region.

High coverage

Partner fibre assets let us reach most premises in any Australian metro. We design the path to the site and back to our closest datacentre presence.

Tailored for Australia

Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney already have Host Universal datacentre presences. Building back to those facilities makes protected DC-to-DC links a standard design, not a special project.

Robust service level agreements

Every Metro Fibre service is delivered under a service level agreement. We set the SLA against the path, protection, and handover you need, rather than a single uptime figure for every build.

Scalable dark fibre

Start with dark fibre, then layer high-capacity internet and datacentre connectivity onto the same path. Protected Layer 2 capacity already runs between any of our PoPs. Scale the service as the site grows, without a new last-mile project each time.

Layer 2 capacity also runs between any of our PoPs in the region, including Auckland, Singapore and Tokyo, and our other Core PoPs. Partner fibre metro coverage is the Australian build described above.
